Sorry - still no pictures. Tomorrow's goal will be to take some pictures
My highlights today are:
1 - My mom got back from her cabin yesterday and so she came over this morning to bathe the baby and then stayed for about 5 hours. The entire time we just sat on the couch and had a "Red Tent" experience (if you haven't read that book, I highly recommend it!). I cleaned up the family room and in a matter of an hour it was a mess again as Preston was doing everything possible to get us to pay attention to him.
2 - Eating out at La Casita tonight with a 3 year old consisted of:
1) him being dressed in his pajamas
2) picking up a tortilla off the ground and almost eating it
3) Hearing about 4-5 "toots" which were so big they should be considered farts. When we told him he needs to do in the bathroom he says, "No, I toot in my pants" Lovely....
4) mentioning that one of the workers in the restaurant had a "big tummy" and sticking out his stomach and pointing to him. I gave Tom this horried look and then Tom said he was talking about himself. So then I asked Preston "Who had a big tummy?" and he waited for the guy to walk by again and he said, "That guy has a big tummy" I was horrified. I thought taking your kids to restaurants when they were 18 months was bad.... Lesson Learned: Your kids will embarass you more than you could ever embarass yourself!
3 - I didn't blog yesterday so I have to highlight the fact that yesterday I went to church. My friend Carlen came up to me after sacrament and said, "Doesn't it feel so good to be back" and it is so true. You really realize the blessings of going to church when you don't go for 4 weeks. Welsey was wearing a hat and we told everyone his nickname, "Grandpa" I now understand what a man feels like when he is going bald. Waking up each morning thinking "More hair is gone?" I have to take a picture of the progress of this receding hairline - hee hee.
4 - Reading everyone's blog - I love reading blogs. Those of you who haven't blogged need to do it. If I can do it, and you are reading this, you need to do it :)
I am off to bed - no nap for me today, and I am actually funtioning.

Heather!!! Hey there - I'm so glad you commented on my blog because now I know your blog address. :) Hehe. How fun. I am still on the first few entries but slowly making my way down the page. :)
That is so funny about your restaurant experience - how embarrassing! But cool about going back to church. It was so fun to see the new little guy. I didn't realize he had a funny hairline until I saw your pictures! Its so cute.
So you had a voluntary C-section? I'm glad you told me about it. I have been thinking about it ever since my dr said something about it. I'm not saying it is what I will decide ( I will wait to actually see how big this baby is), but I have so many questions. I'll have to either email you or talk to you sometime.

P.S. It is good to hear that you feel better after not being pregnant anymore. I am looking forward to that with much anticipation!
That restaurant story is so classic. You can't stop them sometimes.
isn't it nice that at the end of the day we can laugh about these things. they really are entertaining . . . ESPECIALLY when they happen to others (you don't always see it that way when it's happening to you!)
one day chloe mumbled under her breath at the grocery store that the cashier was fat; it was hardly discernable so i quickly said loudly, "yes she is FAST! and that's great because we're in a hurry." i'll never know if the cashier heard chloe, but we had a little heart-to-heart after that about considering how what we say will make others feel! great teaching moments.
i have been laughing out loud since i started reading your blog. i really need to come up and hang out. now that g is medicated that may be more of a realistic idea. love the new blog. hope to see you soon.
