Good Shot

The only difference between a good shot and a bad shot is if it goes in or not.
~Charles Barkley

Dear Heather,

You are the best wife because:

1. The basketball hoop for Christmas
2. The basketball hoop in the house
3. The basketball hoop in the dining room
4. Listening to "clang, clang, clang" all day
5. The tied up chandelier so we can shoot over the balcony

Love,

Heather

It's March and it's still up. I deserve Extra Credit.
Tom did buy me Samoas - that always helps the headache.

Christmas Card Display

A family is a unit composed not only of children but of men, women, an occasional animal, and the common cold. ~Ogden Nash

I appreciate all those that shared their time, talents, creativity and postage to send our family your Christmas Card. Just so you know I will keep your card up until October so I can see and think about your beautiful family.

Thank you for your friendship and for reminding me of what's important.

A Botanical Disaster

Light can be gentle, dangerous, dreamlike, bare, living, dead, misty, clear, hot, dark, violet, springlike, falling, straight, sensual, limited, poisonous, calm and soft. ~Sven Nykvist

Bellevue Botanitcal Gardens 2 days before Christmas was: dangerous, crowded, annoying, limited, and crazy!

Tell me how you really feel BW

The Family Event Planner got a strike one.

What I really should say is that everyone wanted to come out and celebrate my mom's birthday with us. And I mean EVERYONE.

Nature vs. Nurture

"Kids usually pick their nose because it has something in it that doesn't feel right." ~BabyCenter.com
I did a search for why kids pick their nose and the quote above is what I found at BabyCenter.com - I thought it was hilarious.

Now for my thought for the day. Are you ready?

Before children go to school they mostly learn things from their parents, siblings, etc.

What I want to know is where kids learn at such a young age (2 years old is when "this" began) to

PICK THEIR NOSE AND EAT IT!!!!

I don't eat it, Tom doesn't eat it (I don't even think Tom picks), Heidi doesn't eat it, Grandmas or Grandpas don't eat it. Branden - do you eat it? Mikey?

I asked Preston the other day where he got the idea to EAT his boogers.

"They just taste good"

I've tried bribes to get him to stop - but they are like chocolate to this kid.

Sorry for this boogery Post :) - hee hee.

It's just been on my mind.

Why Do Children Pick Their Nose? - and what to do about it.
The information is supposed to be serious. But it's hilarious.

Christmas Treat Memories

"Exercise is a dirty word: Everytime I say it I wash my mouth out with chocolate" ~my friend Lynne's aerobics shirt

Oohhh Ahhhh - after making 8 batches of this mouth-watering
Peppermint Bark Popcorn from OurBestBites.com

I was Swimming in Peppermint this Christmas loving every minute.
Best Christmas Present this year = no diet :)

But I'm paying for it now.

But it was worth every kernal, cookie, brownie, chocolate, peanut butter ball, rice crispy treat - I could go on. We REALLY get spoiled by friends for Christmas. Just ask Heidi about it.

Are you as hungry as I am right now?

Ahoy Mateys! Come Aboard With The Family

"Blessed is the season which engages the whole world in a conspiracy of love."
Hamilton Wright Mabi

One of this years traditions - The Argosy Christmas Cruise:
Lots of Love

Lots of coats, gloves & hats

Lots of Smiles

Lots of Laughs
Lots of Holding Onto Children Tight
(I was so nervous about my children falling over into the dark cold water - weird, I know, it bordered paranoia)
Lots of Those Missing Their Christmas Someone
Lot of Pictures Trying To Get Wesley To Smile
Lot of Going Inside/Outside/Inside/Outside
Lots of the Scary Santa Claus
Lots of Camera Fogging Up Inside From All The People Breathing Causing Me To Look Angelic Next To Tom.
One Famous Person
(Are you famous if I don't know who you are?)

Lots of Teasing By Branden

Lots Of Hannah
(We Loved Hanging Out With Hannah)
Lots Of Brotherly & Sisterly Love
Lots of Excitement From These Two
Lots Of Time Spent On The Boat

Hallelujah Hallelujah
(Lots of Rocking Out To This Song)

Picture Post: One Aunt & One Nephew

Laughter is the shortest distance between two people. ~Victor Borge

This is the story of Preston being stiff as a board and his adorable Aunt Hannah trying to pick him up. I love when pictures capture a moment. This moment makes me laugh.

hee hee haa haa - did you see their faces?
