Hard Times For Our Little One

Failure is an event, never a person. ~William D. Brown

Wesley loves being outside - even if it does give him bumps and bruises.

He took a little tumble on the outdoor stairs. He cried.

It wasn't even comparable to the amount of tears caused by the Herpes Virus he had in his mouth for 2 long (looooonnnnggg) weeks.

Poor baby - mom shed some too.

I even got angry and threw a fit at the doctor to get some antibiotics.

So unlike me.....

Mother's can be MONSTERS when their children are sick.

Flamingos From My BFFs

Friendship isn't a big thing - it's a million little things. ~Author Unknown

My birthday was made special by a million little things on my lawn one Sunday night after we arrived home:

A Flamingo Christmas Tree
Blow Up Cake
Blow Up Animals
A Million Flamingos

It made me feel so special. I really did not want to take it down. Just like my Harry Potter poster it reminds me of the magnificent friends I have been blessed with.

I love all of you!!! I hope you feel the love

YW Camp 2009

What I like about camping is you can get really dirty. Either you're all by yourself, so no one else sees you, or everyone you're with is just as dirty as you are, so nobody cares.

Memories of YW Camp are always centered around the people you get to be with for a week.

I got to spend some precious time with my baby sister Hannah.

Why is everyone so shocked we are sisters?

She's tall. I'm short. She's skinny. She's beautiful. I'm cute. Well.... let's not go there....
She's the total package - and everyone LOVES her.
Who doesn't love Hannah?

My mom delights us with her presence every Stake Night

The whole reason for the crazy camp planning is for these precious girls.
And I LOVE them!

My roomie & BFF

My idol (the camp director) - who I want to be like when I grow up.
Fabulous!

Genuine & Loveable

Delightful

Kindhearted

I learn so much at YW Camp from so many talented, joyous, hilarious & dazzling girls and women. I wouldn't miss it.

Matchmakers

Love is the condition in which the happiness of another person is essential to your own.
~Robert Heinlein

Royalty often picks your spouse early in your life.

My royal ancestors would agree that this would be the pick for my Preston.

Did you know its official? She already proposed.

Preston said he would if she said Please.

I have to capture these two hugging because it will make your heart melt.

And we could only hope to be related to one of our most favorite families.
Did you know this is a 3rd generational friendship?
It's so meant to be.
It's a match.

Basketball Team

These are my new shoes. They're good shoes. They won't make you rich like me, they won't make you rebound like me, they definitely won't make you handsome like me. They'll only make you have shoes like me. That's it.
~From a Charles Barkley commercial for basketball shoes, 1993

Snoqualmie 3 on 3 Tournament
Tom, Branden, Jason & Cam

The "Hoosier Daddy" Team came in 2nd!! (the #1 losers)

Go Bananas - B-A-N-A-N-A-S

A Picture Is Worth 1000 Words

If I could tell the story in words, I wouldn't need to lug around a camera. ~Lewis Hine

I was patient (very unlike me)
and I waited
and tried not to complain

but I finally got it

A new camera
and a magnificent lens from my talented photographer too!

and I'm so lucky to have Carlen around to share her photography tips with me.

Thank you Tom. Thank you family. Thank you Carlen.

For making wishes come true.

Much To Do About Wesley

“Make no mistake about why these babies are here - they are here to replace us.”
Jerry Seinfeld

He's a screamer folks - he can scream! and I mean

SCREAM

Anyone wants to hear it, call me anytime of the day.

Except naptime - his vocal chords need some rest for 2 hrs.

Growing Up Is Optional

Time is making fools of us again. ~J.K. Rowling

Since it's my birthday, I'm going to brag.....

Tom and I have a talent for throwing parties!!

And what a party we put on (yes, I planned my own Harry Potter 30th birthday party)

Is this Malfoy or Tom? I can't tell.....

Wendy made the cake - Tom's brilliant cake topper!

Smack the Kiss on Harry Potters Lips (Natalie N. won with a big fat one)

(I'm writing this post in September and this poster is still up at my house because it makes me happy)

Best part of the night - leaving my two Harry's & Malfoy home while I went to the midnight showing of Half-Blood Prince with my dear friends.

Thankfully my movie was exceedingly enjoyable because my special seat saving friends (especially to Noelle and her vivacious personality) - plus popcorn & drinks. It was the perfect birthday celebration for me.

And I must mention - I am SOOO very happy to be 30 years old.
But wouldn't you if you still looked 15?
