But first I must say that I had a blast at YW Camp. More fun than I probably should have because I came home absolutely exhausted. I learned so much about being a good YW leader and also had several very spirital experiences that happened too.
I was over all the 5th & 6th years (there were 55!) and everyday I went and visited with them to make sure everything was going smooth in their units and teaching certification. They are some amazing girls and I was impressed with their leadership qualities.
My two favorite girls wrote me the cutest poem at camp:
I got several adorable letters from the girls at camp - they are keepers. Another one of my favorites was from my sister Hannah. She is getting so grown up.
Some other stuff I did: go on the rope swing, sing camp songs REALLY loud, explain everyday that I was 29 not 19, eat lots of camp food, stayed up way to late, and other stuff. The name the Stake YW Presidency gave me (our theme was CLUE) was Commander Orange Crush - so I got to wear really cool orange stuff all week like bright orange socks. The camp theme was L.I.F.E. - Living in Faith Everyday and every unit was a board game. It was an awesome experience and I'm so glad I went.
Tom, Heidi and my mom did an AMAZING job with the boys. They had a wonderful week full of soccer, going to the zoo, concerts in the park, eating out, etc. It all went so smoothly. I cried on Friday because I missed them and then on Saturday I cried when I got home. They were both great (but they did wear everyone out :)).
Here is a picture of when Tom, Tim, Heidi and Preston went to the Mariners game. They had front row seats:
They also went to the zoo without me :( - this picture would never be taken if I was there though. I hate snakes:
This week I took Preston to the dentist (no sugar bugs (cavities!)), cleaned the house, took the Honda in, tried getting Preston's haircut 2 times (Lu wasn't there), and watched my favorite movie: Pride and Prejudice. Tom is at Scout Camp until tonight so I have been enjoying the time with my boys this week. Hopefully August will not be as CRAZY!
