Children Truly Understand

Never worry about the size of your Christmas tree. In the eyes of children, they are all 30 feet tall. ~Larry Wilde, The Merry Book of Christmas
One of my favorite Christmas Gifts I've ever received was this beautiful Nativity Set from my mother. It's the first thing I set up and the last thing I take down.

After I saw this picture of my nativity, I took down the ugly speakers and put them in the garage. I realized how much they take away from my beautiful nativity.

I gave Preston his nativity to set up and when we were both finished I went to look - and his was so meaningful and so magical:

This year Preston truly began to understand Christmas is about celebrating Jesus Birth. (YES!!!)

And we were given the biggest tree EVER - 12 feet tall and I marveled at it all Christmas long despite having ornaments only on the top part of the tree. After 30 years of wanting a HUGE tree - My Christmas Tree dream had come true

Don't ask what the long cable running through the tree is. It's gone now (yeah!)

I LOVE how Preston set up his nativity - that is so cool! It gives me goosebumps! Kids are so far ahead of us in some ways... it's crazy! PS - You look so cute - more pics of you! You make me feel inspired!

I think I need more exclamation points!

love - kathy!
