Advice From Above

It is one of life's bitterest truths that bedtime so often arrives just when things are really getting interesting. ~Lemony Snicket

I had a rough week. Lots of Time Outs. Whining. Grumpy. Headaches.

You know!

"My children are driving me crazy."

Was my thought as I was in Sacrament meeting at church thinking and looking at my children acting out - blaming them for this horrible behavior when.....

I GOT SMACKED IN THE HEAD

well that's kind of what it felt like.

A thought came into my mind .... from you know where...... above....

"It's your fault - your children are going to bed TOO late"

Family Meeting. 8:30pm strict bedtime. 2 days later there is peace, kindness, happiness.

Oh, my little angels!

I have always been an advocate of children and sleep - telling everyone how 80% of behavior problems are due from children's lack of sleep.

Yet somehow I forgot with my children. I had to get hit in the head with my own advice.

Please don't let me forget again.

It really does make all the difference.

I agree with this 100%. Preston is the devil child if he doesn't get good sleep, and when he sleeps well he is a complete angel. And whenever he starts acting up, we put him down for a nap and it usually fixes it. LOL
